About this ticket
The koala and river cruise is an extraordinary two-way trip on the Brisbane River to the oldest and largest Koala Sanctuary in the world. Your boat cruises through the city's most historic landmarks, iconic sports, and unique wildlife habitats as you listen to an entertaining and informative commentary. To start off the tour, you'll board your boat in the Brisbane's Southbank district where you'll find the boat at the Cultural Centre Pontoon, located on the boardwalk in front of the Queensland State Library. You can start boarding the boat at 9.30am and the boat leaves at 10.00am to go to Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.Once you arrive there, you will have 3 hours to explore the sanctuary with more than 130 Koalas on site. Not only that, but Lone Pine also hosts a sheepdog show where you see the hardworking dogs round up a herd of sheep, responding to their master's whistles, calls, and hand signals. You can also see the Platypus House where you can see the native animal from Australia, the platypus. Then, check out owls, kites and sea eagles soar above you at the popular Flight Raptor show and then the chance to feed the kangaroos and wallabies. For the return trip to the city, your boat leaves Lone Pine Jetty at 2.15pm sharp arriving back at the Cultural Centre Pontoon at 3.30pm.
