This place is actually in Yuanding another district in Zhang Jia Jie. We had to travel about 40 minutes from WulingYuen. So it’s quite an exciting experience. You would take the world longest cable car, ride ~7.5 km right from the middle of the city , slowly climbing across the train stations and various sights , travelling into the rural areas and towards the mountain. It’s about 25 minutes ride. There are various scenic sites around the Tian men park , but we had a cloudy day and couldn’t get a good view of the mountains on the wooden planks gallery walk and glass walkway . Pro Tip you can pay more for express passes for the cable car rides . Totally worth it . And if you don’t want to climb down the 999 steps of Tianmen , you can take the world longest escalator down . N actually it’s pretty interesting seeing Tianmen iconic hole from the posterior view before the climb down .

This place is the womb of the mountains. Coming here was a transformative experience. The climb is certainly worth it, tho it may feel overwhelming. The only thing that threw me off was the BK at the top. But otherwise it’s still what it is.

What a marvellous piece of nature this is. We went there twice. On our first visit, we took line A and explored the national park all the way to the temple. Tianmen temple may be a long walk, but it's certainly a beautiful one, and the temple itself is so peaceful. The glass bridges are all paid individually. On our way down, we took the escalators through the mountain. Oh boy! that was some great engineering! Unfortunately, the weather that day was too bad. We couldn't see the cave at all due to the mist and heavy rain, so we had to rush ourselves out. On our second visit, we took line B, the skies were clear and we got the cable car to ourselves. We saw the cave, the stairway and also stayed back for the light show. It was totally worth it!

In Zhangjiajie, in the same category of the Avatar's Halleluyah Mountains, this Tuanmen Mountain, aka Heaven's Gate, is a must see and experience while in Zhangjiajie It is awesome and magnificent at the same time. Imagine the effect of awesome and magnificent happening at the same time! This place although is touristy, but nevertheless it is still the place to visit and not to be missed. It is truly acwobder of GOD'S artistry in creating one huge hole into the solid mountain, hence the name Tianmen! It is truly a gateway into heaven! Couple with the 999 step of staircase leafing to this "huge hole", it truly gives you the feel of Stairways to Heaven! Blessed are the people, there are escalators for the less mobile or less physically fit ones to enjoy the scenery from the Heaven Gate.
