11/26/2025 I used my Osaka E-pass to book a reservation for this Dotonbori cruise. I highly recommend that you reserve online since lines can get long and there's no assurance you could get a seat. The 20-minute cruise is very scenic. The tour guide will show you the story between the iconic billlboards and buildings around Dotonbori. You will have a brief stop to take a photo at Glico sign. My phone was unfortunately met an accidenta but the tour guide is really sorry. Overall, I have a blast with this cruise. Very reccomended to try. Fee: 2000 yen, included in Osaka Amazing Pass

The Osaka Wonder Cruise is a short, scenic boat tour that travels along the Okawa River, cutting right through the heart of the city. The main highlight is the unforgettable view of the modern, futuristic skyline of the Nishi-ku and Kita (Umeda) districts, especially breathtaking after dark when the buildings are illuminated. The Route: The cruise travels on the Okawa River, passing under several bridges and offering unparalleled views of the Tombori River Walk in the south and, most famously, the Kita (Umeda) Skyline in the north, including landmarks like the Umeda Sky Building and the Dojima Axis Building. If you have time for only one, choose the Wonder Cruise for the iconic skyline photos and the sunset view. Entrance is included with the Osaka Amazing Pass.

The Osaka Wonder Cruise goes from one side of the canal and back through Dotonbori. It's quite a short cruise, but you can get some wonderful views of Dotonbori's iconic attractions. It's also just a nice experience to unwind after the massive crowds. The boat also stopped under the Glico sign, and the staff encouraged guests to have their picture taken. So if you'd like a picture under the sign without the queues, this is a great way to get it. If I have some advice, make sure to get to the Wonder Cruise early. There is a first-come-first-served seating arrangement, and if you're at the back of the line, your group might get split up or sat away from the views. I wouldn't say that it's a 'must do' attraction. You probably won't learn anything new or see anything different than you would from walking the river, but I still really enjoyed the cruise. Plus it was included in the price of my Osaka Amazing Pass ticket.

The cruise was absolutely amazing! We had so many fun stops where we could take beautiful photos. The onboard entertainment was top-notch – great performances, dancing, singing. One person in particular stood out – truly dedicated to their work, full of passion and energy. Highly recommend this experience!

We did this with the Osaka Amazing pass and it was so worth it! Super quick ride with great views. The staff was super nice and took photos of every person in front of the Glico sign!
